EMS Ambulance District

In 2007, a needs assessment was conducted regarding the sustainability of EMS in Valley County.  After two years of study, town meetings and ultimately having the required public hearings for  comments, the Valley County Commissioners unanimously approved the Valley County EMS Ambulance District March 9, 2009.  A levy was set August, 2010 for the support of this district.

The Ambulance District Administrative Council worked on the Operations Plan and supporting By-Laws in 2009 and both were approved by the Valley County Commissioners who are the Governing Board of the district.

Since then, our department has transitioned to a Paramedic level service (as of March 31, 2015).  We are continually looking for ways to improve our level of care for our community.

We are proud of the effort and hard work done by the EMS stakeholders and for the public support we received during our public education, surveys, town meetings and to the Valley County Board of Commissioners who made the Valley County EMS Ambulance District possible.
